How it works

Parents

No app, no password. One link and your cone.

The school sends each family one link. Tap it once and your phone is set for the year. On pickup day you pull into the loop, stop at a cone, and tap that cone. Staff bring your kids to the car.

  1. Tap the link the school sent you

    The school texts or emails one link per family. It opens in your phone's browser and remembers you. There is nothing to install and nothing to type.

    New phone or lost the text? Call the front office. They send a fresh link in about a minute, and the old one stops working.

    Tap it and you're set. No password, no app store.

    The link is the sign-in. It keeps you signed in on that phone for 90 days and renews itself when you use it.

  2. Pull into the loop, stop at a cone, tap it

    Queue on Dryer Ave as usual. When your wave pulls into the loop and you are stopped at a cone, open the page and tap that cone. Your car appears on the staff screens within a second.

    More than one car in the family? Pick which one you are in. Wrong cone? Tap Wrong cone? Change it and pick again.

    The cones on the app have the same numbers and colours as the cones on the ground.

  3. Stay in the car. Your kids come to you.

    The screen says which cone you are at and lists the kids coming out. The staff member at your cone sees the same card and brings them to the car.

  4. Buckled in? Tap Got them.

    Once the kids are in, tap Got them. Staff can tap Loaded from their side too, so you do not have to. When the wave is waved on, pull out with the cars around you.

    Either you or the staff member can mark Loaded. The app records who did and when.

  5. Someone else picking up?

    Under Your family, the Authorized pickups list says who may collect your students. Family leadership is on it automatically. Another Bayside parent? Pick them by name and your students show up under Carpool on their own page, so they check in for everyone in the car with one tap. Grandma or a sitter? Add them and send them their own link. It works every pickup day until you remove them.

    Your cars and the family's contacts live on the same page. You keep them up to date yourselves.
